Mira Miskovic PT (Reg.ONT)
Physiotherapist
/ Osteopath
Mira Miskovic PT, Cert. MDT, MCPA is a compassionate physiotherapist and Osteopath
who is dedicated to assisting your recovery and to resume, and in many cases exceed your pre-injury activities and lifestyle.
Using Osteopathic principles,
McKenzie approach and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) combined with her extensive experience and
training gives Mira‘s treatments ‘an edge’. It is not a rare occasion that her patients respond very favourable
in the short period of time.
Years
of experience working with people post stroke, head injury and other neurological conditions, along with her ongoing postgraduate
training including Neuro Developmental Treatment – Bobath approach assist Mira to provide very successful rehab programs
for her patients.
Being credentialed
by The McKenzie Institute International to evaluate and treat spinal disorders, Mira receives referrals from orthopedic surgeons,
physiatrists and Regional Assessment Centres to treat patients who already have gone through a treatment program with limited
or no improvement. So far, Mira was very successful in helping these people to significantly improve their condition. She
has success with helping patients suffering from herniated discs, as well as back, neck and shoulder pain.
Mira is open to referrals from
Insurance companies to treat people who have been injured in car accidents (MVA’s). Mira further enhanced her skills
and developed ways to assist those patients to reduce the pain and recover faster, and safely return to work within the
shortest time frame.
During
the course of the treatment, Mira places a strong focus on educating you to understand your condition in order to be
able to assist your body to resume its inherent ability to heal itself. She also uses ’Hands-on’ approach
to remove restrictions and restore the impaired relationships within your tissues so that normal physiology resumes and enable
healing.
A firm emphasis
is placed on treating the cause of the problem as a must to restoring core stability. This is most often impaired due to our
predominantly sedentary lifestyle or as a consequence of previous, often untreated and neglected minor injuries, which over
time managed to cause changes within our body, often far away from the previously injured site.
Mira is devoted to continuously working on further upgrading
her skills in order to give you the most updated and the most efficient treatment.
